Comments about Jerezano:

Jerezano scored very highly in early March as part of EQUIPRE 2006. EQUIPRE 2006 encompassed a P.R.E. horse show and judging seminar in both Cambridge, New Zealand, and Sydney, Australia, and a single judging day only in Christchurch (due to smaller numbers of P.R.E.s in the South Island of New Zealand). Dr Dn Luís Rodríguez Gómez, an approved Registro-Matrícula España P.R.E. judge and specialist equine veterinarian from Toledo, Spain, officiated. The following are his comments about Jerezano:

Very typical Spanish horse, very good conformation, very Spanish and very beautiful. Very good withers and shoulders. Good top line and well angled croup. Straight back and front legs. Very good canter, best of the 3 movements with good rhythm and cadence. Good example of a P.R.E. stallion because the whole horse is very typical of a Spanish horse. Good presentation of the horse.

Claudia Kaiser, who trained with the Royal School of Equestrian High School Arts in Jerez, Andalucia, Spain, began training Jerezano in mid 2008 and says of him:

Jerezano is a stunning Spanish stallion with wonderful movements and a generous nature. His cooperation and willingness to work are special but of greatest importance is his sensitivity and intelligence. Jerezano has an enormous potential to reach high school dressage level and is now being educated in natural horsemanship and classical dressage to start his career.

Claudia added that "he is very comfortable to ride"!

American Wayne Hipsley, a highly regarded International Equine Consultant and Educator, considered Jerezano to be "in the category of very good to excellent quality stallions to whom Pure Spanish mares should be bred to improve the breed in this country".  This was following an assessment tour of Pure Spanish horses in New Zealand in February 2007.  He has written an article about his evaluations in the June issue of Esencia - the ACPRE NZ Inc magazine (page 39 of pp 33-41) which may be read via the ACPRE NZ Inc link.
